New Students

An introductory evening for next year's Wapping High School students saw a packed St George-in-the-East host a meeting with Headteacher, Paul Guénault. Eager and excited Year 6 students in equal numbers of boys and girls came with their parents to get their first taste of being part of the school. The year group is fully subscribed and reflects the full diversity of Tower Hamlets. You can see the information booklet they received here.

Wapping High School will be a new co-educational 11-16 secondary school opening in September 2012.

Wapping High School will be an outstanding school, raising aspirations, broadening horizons, and ensuring better outcomes for all its students. The school will build upon the diverse background of every student, offering a personalised curriculum to engage learning and develop inquisitive minds.

The school day at Wapping High School will be lengthened to enable all its students to participate in a range of exciting and stimulating enrichment activities.

A limited number of places remain in the current Year 7. To apply for a place please contact Tower Hamlets admissions team.

Year 7 intake for September 2013

Admissions for secondary school are coordinated centrally by the local authority. We have now made offers for all our 84 places and are operating a waiting list. To apply to go on the waiting list please contact Tower Hamlets admissions team.

If you live outside Tower Hamlets you can still apply for a place at Wapping High School. Ask your local authority for details.
